Apply Breathing Technique in
Your
Exercise !
Breathing is an activity that
we do almost without realizing. We never count or plan when we should
inhale or how many minutes later we must exhale. All happen just like
that. However, in exercise you can't just breath as you usually do in
normal life. There are several breathing techniques that you must
follow. Exercise frequency and accuracy
are
important, but when you don't practice the right breathing technique,
injury might
get you!
Breathing
Technique Secrets
-
Without
applying breathing technique, you will get tired very soon, as your
lungs and heart cannot flow the oxygen effectively.

When you
inhale, oxygen that comes into your body will be
shifted to energy, while exhaling means you
relieve carbon dioxide, toxin and stress
from your body.
-
During
weight lifting exercise,
NEVER hold your breath for more than 2 seconds, or you might get
blackout which is caused by the excess-pressure on your body or
brain.

Apply
different breathing techniques for different kind of exercises :
-
Aerobics exercise
(jogging, walking, biking) : breath normally
-
Weight exercise
: exhale while you are lifting weight or contracting your muscles,
and inhale while relieving the weight.

Yoga
: there are 3 stages in yoga, stomach breathing, chest breathing and
full yogic. In stomach breathing, swell up your stomach while
inhaling, and deflate it while exhaling. The same applied in chest
breathing. Full yogic is the combination of both breathing
techniques. While inhaling, first swell up your stomach, then your
chest. While exhaling, deflate your chest first then your stomach.

Pilates
: While inhaling, let the air comes into your body, contract your
stomach inside, open your ribs and fill up your diaphragm
and back with fresh air, then goes down to your lower abdominal.
When you exhale, deflate your lower stomach and let your ribs pulled
inside, and your chest down.
So, next time
when you go to the gym or do your
exercise at home,
there is one important thing you should keep in your focus, that’s your
breathing technique. Start having a healthy exercise from today, let
your heart and lungs work efficiently ! When you already got used to do
healthy exercise, learn some new exercises, then you’ll get not only
healthy but also fun exercise !
